Vision α® is a quantum leap in High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV). Vision α® is the first ventilator that combines HFOV and conventional ventilation modes in one device.
With the selector switch users can choose the appropriate ventilation mode (HFOV, Spontaneous, Ventilation). This allows quick responses to changes in the patient’s condition and helps ensure the best possible therapy.
The microprocessor controlled Vision α® combines top reliability and quiet operation. Optimum oxygenation is assured by oscillation at up to 15 Hertz to provide a homogenous oxygen concentration in the entire lung. HFOV permits sufficient and sustained gas exchange with a tidal volume lower than or equal to the anatomical dead space.
Vision α® enables advanced protective ventilation protocols in synergy with the iLA Membrane Ventilator®. The iLA Membrane Ventilator® is focussed on the complete elimination of carbon dioxide (ventilation) while Vision α® provides optimal oxygenation of the patient. The combination of both products enables the implementation of novel ventilation strategies. The patient’s lung is given "Time to heal"®.

The handling of the Vision α® is now even more efficient due to the specially developed VentProtect™ filter heater.
Previously necessary post-treatment processes such as the sterilization of the impedance valve, and the associated logistics costs, have been eliminated. This saves time and reduces treatment costs. Further advantages of VentProtect™ are:
