Protective Ventilation Strategies
ARDS/ALI, Sepsis, Weaning
The course deals with protective ventilation strategies for patients in intensive care, suffering severe ARDS. In a first theoretical part, pathophysiology of ARDS and consecutive respiratory therapy is discussed. The training focuses on lung protective strategies including extracorporeal CO2 elimination and HFOV.
