Intensive Care Transportation

This course focuses on inter- and intrahospital transportation of the critically ill patient with respiratory failure. Apart from aspects of transport organization and preparation, substantial pathophysiological procedures (trauma, ARDS), ventilation strategies with ARDS and particularities of air transports are discussed. Another emphasis is on transportation of patients with extracorporeal lung support systems (ECMO, iLA Membrane Ventilator®).

 

Target Group

This course addresses in particular all physicians, specialists and personnel working in emergency medical services that are involved in supporting and realizing secondary transportation.

CME Points

The complete attendance of the course is accredited by the Landesärztekammer Hessen (national physician chamber Hessen) with 7 points.

This course is is free of charge. A free cancellation is possible up to four weeks before the course, after this period we will charge a € 50,- handling fee.
