Clinical Evidence

Novalung’s goal is to create new solutions for the treatment of lung failure. Innovative products enable new, beneficial therapies for which the body of clinical evidence continues to grow.

The iLA Membrane Ventilator® has been used successfully in the past few years in thousands of patients, creating a solid base of clinical experience. Safety and efficacy of the system have been proven are well documented. A large amount of published data from experimental and clinical studies and numerous case reports and large case series (some prospective) in various clinical applications are available.

The Vision α® is the state-of-the-art high-frequency oscillatory ventilator (HFOV) for use in both adults and children. To date there have been 18 randomised, controlled clinical trials on high-frequency ventilation in children with acute lung failure (ARDS), for its use in adults there are data from 2 randomised, prospective trials. All of them show an improved mortality rate with HFOV compared to conventional mechanical ventilation. Numerous experimental and clinical studies have shown that HFOV is associated with a significant reduction in inflammatory processes in the lung.
